Langreið/ur tee
"Ég er langreiður" is a play on words. Langreyður means fin whale. Reiður means angry. And yes, we are angry.
Fin whales are still hunted in Iceland. The government keeps allowing it. There's no respect shown to these animals, even in death.
This shirt is a way to say that out loud, and to stand with the whales. We're not separate from them. We're mammals too, sharing the same ocean, the same system that keeps us all alive.
We are long tired of this bullshit.
All profits go to Hvalavinir's work to end whaling in Iceland.
