“Ég er langreiður” is a play on words in Icelandic. Langreyður means fin whale. Reiður means angry. And yes, we are angry.
Angry that fin whales are still being hunted in Iceland. Angry that the government continues to allow this to happen. Angry at the lack of respect shown to these animals, even after death.
This t-shirt is a way to express that anger, but also to show solidarity with the whales.
Because we are not separate from them. We are mammals. We share this planet, this ocean, and the same system that keeps us all alive.
We are long tired of this bullshit.
All profits from this t-shirt will support Hvalavinir and our work to end whaling in Iceland.
This is a pre-order with a small discount. We’ll only produce what is ordered, to avoid excess stock and leftovers.
Unisex t-shirt in soft pastel colours. Made from 100% organic cotton, with a soft feel, modern cut, narrow round neck, and double-stitched hems and sleeves.
